Art Meets Solar Innovation

Producing local, clean energy is just one of the ways we contribute to a sustainable economy, and we’re proud to announce we’ve expanded our commitment to the clean energy transition with a 116-panel solar array!

We partnered with Montville-based ReVision Energy to install a roof-mounted solar system on our building. The 46.9-kilowatt solar project will generate over 53,829 kilowatt-hours of clean, solar energy every year. 

The solar array produces electricity that is either used in real-time by the building, or fed back to the grid where it benefits our community (and earns us a credit). Each year, the system will offset 52,806 pounds of carbon. To see what our system is producing, both today and across its lifetime, click here.

In addition to receiving a significant reduction in energy costs, we will be able to reduce our carbon footprint and invest in the long-term well-being of Belfast’s people and natural spaces. We are thrilled to take this step on our greater journey towards sustainability through this partnership with ReVision Energy. A local, employee-owned B-Corp, ReVision shares our dedication to people and community, and we are excited to join them in leading Maine to a clean, solar powered future.
