Family Workshops

Our family workshops are geared towards both parents and children creatively working together.

We strive to give parents the tools to work with their kids effectively, while making sure young artists have freedom to explore their creativity. Explore our different family workshop offerings below.

Art Together Mornings

Art Together Mornings are memorable workshops where adult and child create side-by-side. Parents learn ways to support creative thinking while enjoying their own process. Kids explore materials at their own pace while learning new skills. Both work together to complete an expressive project to take home and cherish for years to come.

Family Art Nights

In partnership with RSU 71 and Waldo County Action Partners, free family workshops are offered at schools as part of our outreach programs aimed at providing parent education through hands-on art experiences. Head Start families who attend are given art supplies to bring home whenever possible.

Ages 0-6 + Caretakers 10:00AM – 11:30PM 6-week Session on Wednesdays April 9, 16, 23, and May 7, 14, and 21, 2025

Caretakers and their young children explore materials safely, according to best practices for supporting the development of creativity and basic skills important for school readiness. Rather than completing craft projects, adults learn how to provide meaningful, guided activities at home that emphasize choice, experimentation, and scaffolded learning.
