The Young Artists’ Studio is an opportunity for creatives ages 8-18 to enjoy an “open studio” experience. They are able to use any of a wide array of materials to create projects of their choosing, for a full two hours or just drop in for a while. Bridge Jr. is an after-school art club for elementary-aged artists. Young creatives develop problem solving skills, learn to bravely experiment, persist through challenges and support each other while having fun with art materials. This 6-week intermediate wheel throwing class will go beyond the basics of throwing and will work to refine students’ techniques. The Young Artists’ Studio is an opportunity for creatives ages 8-18 to enjoy an “open studio” experience. They are able to use any of a wide array of materials to create projects of their choosing, for a full two hours or just drop in for a while. Each week there is a technique demonstrated by the teacher for those who need some inspiration. Open studio time for kids 5 and up, a time to explore clay with no direct instruction, but lots of advice available. Drop in for kids only (parents can wait outside or in the hallway). Limit 12 participants. $15 per child. Work can be fired for an extra minimal charge. Studio Manager Linda Stec has been teaching clay at Waterfall Arts for over a decade. Our sunny Bridge Studio is open to all adults who need some time to play and practice with basic art materials. Create a collage from our giant scrap bin, relax and color a while, or try the day’s suggested activity. All over 18 years of age are welcome.
