ART HIVE: Drop-in Studio

May 26 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

FREE | Ages 18+

Art Hive Open Studio sessions are for everyone! Come experience the transformative power of art in a safe and encouraging environment.

Join us in the Bridge Studio at Waterfall Arts where a variety of materials will be available for you to create with, including paints, pastels, collage, fiber, etc. Donations for materials are appreciated, but not expected or required.

What is an Art Hive? The Art Hives Network connects small and regenerative community arts studios together, in order to build solidarity across geographic distances. This effort seeks to strengthen and promote the benefits of these inclusive, welcoming spaces throughout the world. Art Hive spaces create multiple opportunities for dialogue, skill sharing, and art making between people of differing socio-economic backgrounds, ages, cultures and abilities.

A note about being a part of Bridge:
Bridge is a limited-membership group with a waitlist. My student will attend every week they are able. Leadership opportunities include volunteering at art events on some weekend days. Ride sharing can be arranged for these, and you will be provided with dates as soon as possible. If your child can not participate, please let us know so we can arrange other volunteer opportunities for your child to develop the same skills and connections!

Being a "good artist" is NOT criteria for being in Bridge. Any sixth grader who likes making stuff and being creative will love it.

Waterfall Arts COVID-19 Update

Until further notice, Waterfall Arts requires that all guests and artists registering for our classes and workshops are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or present a negative COVID-19 test (within 24-hours before class). A digital or physical copy of your vaccine card or test result can be presented at the door at the time of the class or emailed directly to our programming director prior to class start.

Masks are encouraged when social distancing is not possible.

** For youth programs, we ask for proof of vaccination (or negative COVID-19 test) of the household adults. If your child is vaccinated, you may submit the child’s COVID-19 vaccination information, instead.**
