The Young Artists’ Studio is an opportunity for creatives ages 8-18 to enjoy an “open studio” experience. They are able to use any of a wide array of materials to create projects of their choosing, for a full two hours or just drop in for a while. Each week there is a technique demonstrated by the teacher for those who need some inspiration. Otherwise, kids work independently, while the educator visits anyone who has a question or needs some assistance. Please make sure your child is comfortable working on their own and is happy to be focused on art making during their stay! In order to keep the group size safe and manageable, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Registration opens on Wednesday for the following Tuesday. One “ticket” per child. Registration closes when a maximum of 15 artists is reached.
Waterfall Arts is a year-round community arts center in Belfast, Maine. It is an ecosystem, nurturing and inspiring creative expression through workshops, classes, and community outreach. Because we believe art is for everyone, we believe that financial resources should not determine whether or not someone has access to the power of art!
Just as everybody’s financial situation is unique, so is our tiered-pricing structure. Choose the program fee that feels right for your family. Our Base Rates cover our basic costs, and our Pay-It-Forward rates help us provide assistance to other families and is always appreciated.
Additional financial aid is available. If you or someone you know needs to access our funding, please email Program Director Amy Tingle amy@waterfallarts.org to request more information. We believe that financial resources should not determine whether or not someone has access to the power of art!
