October 30@5:30 PM - 8:30 PM$45
Collagraph printmaking employs both relief and intaglio print making techniques. By combining these techniques different tonal effects and color intensity can be achieved. In this introductory session participants will experiment with a variety of materials and textures to create their own collagraph plates. Printing can be done with and without a press making the process easy to duplicate in a home studio space.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Karin Otto has brought her background in arts administration, teaching, and fine arts to Waterfall Arts since 2012. As a long time board member, and former board president, Karin has assisted Waterfall Arts with many facets of programming. In particular, she has helped to establish and manage Waterfall Arts’ print studio. Using a variety of print making techniques, Karin’s own work explores the idea of patterns in all things. She is fascinated with the depth and dimension that can be derived through layering of texture and color. Karin has studied print making under Susan Groce, UM Orono and worked with a variety of local and visiting print artists through the Waterfall Arts studio.
