CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW Open Studio: Clay

February 28 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST

CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW. Start a new project or finish something you have started. Don’t let your lack of studio equipment be an obstacle! Waterfall Arts has a well-furnished and staffed clay studio for artists. Open Studios are monitored by skilled volunteers who are there to assist but not teach. If you don’t yet feel confident working self-sufficiently in the studio, consider taking one of our classes or sign up for an orientation session. Artists will work independently on their own projects. In addition to providing a workspace and tools, the studios at Waterfall Arts provide a forum for sharing ideas, developing techniques, and experimentation, as well as an opportunity for building community.

Drop-in rates are $20 for a 3-hour session. Maximum 5 artists during Open Studios. Register by calling 207-338-2222 or stop by in-person for a tour!

About the Monitor: Linda Stec has been teaching clay at Waterfall Arts for over a decade. She has a degree in Fine Arts and has taken many masters level classes. Along with clay, Linda has been a performing puppeteer for 18 years and practices calligraphy, cartooning, and weaving. She is a master gardener and the Director of the Starrett Childrens’ Center.
