Monoprint Watercolor Painting

May 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

*NOTE: All needed materials are included! A printing materials kit will be available for pick-up at Waterfall Arts prior to the class date, and must be returned after the class. You just need a device that can connect to Zoom, in order to participate in the class. The Zoom link and more information about materials and set-up will be sent upon registration.

Monoprinting is considered the most painterly of the printmaking techniques. Watercolor monoprinting allows you to duplicate an image or reference painting while having your watercolor look like a print. Students will use watercolors paints in leu of printing inks, a non traditional approach to printmaking, offering an opportunity for experimentation for all levels.

About the Instructor:

Karin Otto brings her background in arts administration, teaching, and fine arts to Waterfall Arts since 2012. Prior to her life in Maine, Karin spent several years coordinating programming and curating exhibitions for a government funded Arts organization, The Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society, in Glasgow, Scotland. Karin also works as a Human Resources consultant for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. She sits on grant review committees for both the Maine Arts Commission and The Maine Community Foundation. Karin has a BFA in Sculpture and Ceramics, MFA in Organizational Behaviour and is a certified professional coach through the Coaches Training Institute.
