This 6-week clay class focuses on wheel-based skills and basic forms such as cylinder and bowl. Instructor: Misha Sanborn‘s experience in pottery began with her apprenticeship to potter Dan Finnegan, later becoming the Artist-in-Residence at LibertyTown Arts Workshop in Fredericksburg, VA where she taught both adult and child clay classes. After her residencies she occupied a studio at the art center and sold her work in the gallery and at craft shows. Two years ago her family relocated to Maine where she works from her home studio. She specializes in wheel-thrown, slip-trailed, functional pottery high-fired in a gas kiln. When she is not working on pottery she is homeschooling her two children.
