Fast & Loose! DIY Screen Printing for the LGBTQ+ Community
July 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT
Free
This workshop is offered for people who identify as LGBTQ+ and is co-sponsored by Out in the Open.
Printmaking can be accessible to anyone willing to get their hands dirty! Using a short-run DIY screen printing process, we will each produce 10 – 15 posters. There will be time devoted to writing and reflecting on the message for your poster, demonstration of the process, and time to create posters together with provided materials. What messages are you connecting with lately? What ideas, concepts, or experiences do you want to put out into the world on a colorful, handcrafted poster?
We will make plans to meet again and post the prints up in public spaces on Saturday July 8. Otherwise, posters will be ready for pick up when they are dry during WFA open hours.
Materials: All materials will be provided. Snacks, too!
There is no fee to participate. Donations for Waterfall Arts will be taken at the door.
Following CDC recommendations and guidelines, Waterfall Arts will no longer require masking, proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test for patrons, students, or visitors to attend classes, openings or any events at the Waterfall Arts building.
