AAAH: CBARF

February 5, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST

Free

CBARF IS BACK!

Fact: 95% of kids and cats prefer empty boxes over toys.

Waterfall Arts is bringing back its famous All Ages Art Happening, “CBARF: Cardboard Boxes Are Really Fun!” this January. Thanks to the Waldo County YMCA generously offering use of their gymnasium, this year’s build-a-thon will be more epic than ever, AND safe!

The whole community is invited to bring a roll of packing tape and take to our mountain of cardboard boxes to build… well, whatever they like! Afterwards, participants smash it all down and the wreckage is sent back to the transfer station to be recycled.

Keeping the community safe while still connecting in-person takes creativity: what was a free-for-all in the past will take a slightly different form this time. The gym will have “streets” taped off and parties will claim some well-spaced “property” to work on after grabbing boxes to build with. Doors will be open to allow fresh air to circulate so attendees should dress accordingly! Masks are required in the YMCA building, including the event space.

All children must be accompanied by an adult – they will need a hand with the tape! (It is recommended that builders bring their own packing tape.)

Free, all ages. This event is taking place at the Waldo County YMCA.

About All Ages Art Happenings:

Throughout the year, All Ages Art Happenings (AAAH) engage kids and families through community-building “art parties.” These memorably-themed, multi-sensory experiences are made possible by the generous supporters of Waterfall Arts Kids & Family Outreach Program.
