BRIDGE is a free afterschool art program for 6th graders, most of whom have no art class in school. A program of Waterfall Arts, BRIDGE is a judgement-free club where young artists explore materials and support each others‘ self expression, while getting connected to the local arts scene.
Teen Art Studio – Mondays 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm Ongoing $8 drop in.
Bridget Matros leads this ongoing drop-in studio for teens: join the group every Monday or whenever you can, drop in fee is $8. with the 7th visit free. It’s also possible to pay ahead for a discount. The studio is stocked with a huge amount of materials, all organized and ready. Use these supplies to explore and create, work on school projects or your own thing. Sometimes, the Bridge crew works on projects together; like events, openings, public art installations. Note: Group usually meets on Holidays and during school vacations.
Bridge Jr. – Afterschool Art for 4th and 5th Graders Tuesdays 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm $50 – $70 sliding scale
Teaching artist Bridget Matros leads the group in exploring different materials, art projects and work styles, helping students find their own unique voice. There will be a bus from CASS. Bridget Matros, who leads the group, has been an educator for fifteen years, teaching all levels and in just about every setting, from preschool circle-time to computer literacy for the elderly.
