There are 4 Community Studios in the Belfast building: Printmaking, Ceramics, Darkroom Photography, and the Bridge Studio for Youth & Family Outreach programs.
In addition to serving classes and workshops, the Printmaking, Ceramics, and Darkroom Photography studios all have open studio hours for community use. These well-furnished facilities offer resources to artists of all skill levels.
Drop-in fees are reasonably priced. A 3-hour session is $15. Cost-saving subscription rates are available for $50/month on an application approved, contract basis. Fee covers use of space and equipment. Materials such as paper, inks, clay, and glazes are available at cost.
WOrk alongside printmakers working in a variety of techniques including silkscreen, collograph, aquatint, wood cut and linoleum cut, lithography, monoprint, and more. Experiment with mixed media techniques.
The print studio has open monitored hours on Tuesdays from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and Fridays from 1:00 to 4:00 pm with Mary Faith Morison.
The open clay studio hours are Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 pm with Linda Stec.

Dark Room Studio
A traditional wet darkroom fully equipped with four Bessler (23C, 45M) enlargers, and everything necessary for processing film and printing B&W photographs. Basic chemistry is included. Darkroom is properly ventilated. Drum processors provide potential for color printing.
The Darkroom Studio is for photographers who have experience in darkroom processes.
There are currently no set open studio hours for the Darkroom. Call the office at 338-2222 to set up an appointment.
