ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS: Bridget Matros is the Youth & Family Outreach Coordinator at Waterfall Arts. Matros came to Waterfall Arts with over 15 years of teaching art at every level and setting — from preschool circle-time to computer literacy classes for the elderly. A practicing artist herself, Matros developed and grew the Art Studio exhibit and program at the Boston Children’s Museum, is a published advocate for quality creative development in early childhood education, and has been deemed one of 21 “young leaders in arts education” by Harvard scholars. Karin Otto is currently on the Board at Waterfall Arts, she also runs the print studio, teaches, and helps design and coordinate community arts programming. After moving to Maine in 2011 Karin made the shift from consulting and lecture work in Organizational Development to spending more time on her art work. Her work explores the idea of patterns in all things. She is currently working with wood block printing using organic forms derived from nature. Karin admires the sculptural qualities of woodcut and is fascinated with the depth and dimension that can be derived through layering of texture and color. Karin has a BFA in Sculpture and Ceramics and an MA in Organizational Behaviour.
