CERAMICS: HAND BUILDING WITH PAPER CLAY

This one-day workshop focuses on basic techniques in hand building with a twist! Students will learn how to incorporate paper into the clay body. The cellulose from the paper helps to extend the elasticity and strength of the clay making it easier to create thinner constructions. Drying time is reduced as well allowing opportunity to create multiple works. All levels welcomed.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Linda Stec has been teaching clay at Waterfall Arts for over a decade. She has a degree in Fine Arts and has taken many masters level classes. Along with clay, Linda has been a performing puppeteer for 18 years and practices calligraphy, cartooning, and weaving. She is a master gardener and the Director of the Starrett Childrens’ Center.

All classes have minimum and maximum enrollment thresholds, so early registration will improve the chances of a class running and of your slot in it!
