BELFAST ART MARKET – CALL FOR VENDORS!

Welcome to the Belfast Art Market at Waterfall Arts! The Art Market is a community-based market held every Friday from June through August, 9am to 1pm, alongside the original Belfast Farmer’s Market at Waterfall Arts (256 High Street).

Come sell your art and handmade goods in beautiful Belfast, Maine!
The market is lively and well-attended.

What kind of art are we looking for? 
Art that is UNIQUE – HANDMADE – BY YOU*

*All art sold at the market must be handmade by the individual/collective (i.e. not unique handmade goods purchased wholesale).

COST
There is no cost to apply to the Belfast Art Market. If accepted into the market, there is a $25 annual registration fee for all artists as well as a fee of $25 for each market you participate in. Waterfall Arts annual members receive a discounted annual registration fee of $10. Read more about the membership program here.

Weekly fees must be prepaid for the dates you request and guarantee a 10 x 10 foot flat lawn area to set up your booth or table.

REFUNDS
Weekly fees need to be paid at least a week in advance of requested dates. If you need to change the date you’ve paid for or would like a refund, please provide at least five days notice or forfeit your fee for the week.

SET UP
Artists will need to provide their own tents and tables.

RAIN OR SHINE POLICY
Though the market is generally a rain or shine event, we may cancel if the weather is extreme (torrential rain, thunderstorms, strong wind, etc.). We send out emails to all participating vendors on the Thursday evening before a market, to let them know whether or not the market has been canceled.

We are not able to return/transfer booth fees for weeks when we don’t cancel the market. That is to say, if you decide not to come because of rain, your fee for that week gets forfeited.

SCHEDULE
Every Friday from June 7 through August 30, from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Vendors must set up in advance of 9 AM. All booths must be ready for shoppers when the market opens at 9 AM. Vendors are expected to stay for the entirety of the market. Waterfall Arts staff will be on site from 8 AM on.

PARKING
You’re welcome to park along High Street while you’re getting set up. Once your display is set up, we ask that you move your car into the Waterfall Arts parking lot.

PET POLICY
Vendors are allowed to bring pets, but generally, the practice is not encouraged. If you decide to bring a pet to the market, the pet must be on a leash or within arms reach at all times. Waterfall Arts has the right to ask vendors to remove their pets if it bothers other vendors, staff, or market attendees.
